Hopjacks Pizza Kitchen & Taproom

I was in Pensacola this weekend visiting family and friends, and as I love beer and BBQ, I thought I’d share a restaurant I was introduced to:  Hopjacks Pizza Kitchen & Taproom.  They have three locations with one in Mobile, AL and two in Pensacola, FL.  Since I live in Gainesville and have a handful of super good local brew pubs to choose from, I always appreciate stumbling up new joints with TONS of beer on tap.  Now, their website claims (as of the time of writing this post) they have 111 beers on tap, but the location I went to had 85 beers on tap (not that I’m complaining…) so I’m assuming the 111 is what the three locations have total.  Probably the highlight for me was the Rogue Double Dead Guy, which is a potent, yet smooth American Strong Ale.  I actually went there twice in two days, and ended up trying two of their speciality pizzas:  the Black and Blue (bottom left picture which has filet mignon and bleu cheese (and other goodness) and the Pulled Pork BBQ (bottom right picture).  Both were amazing, but as I’m a BBQ junkie, the pulled pork style has motivated me to try a home made pulled pork deep dish pizza myself this upcoming weekend.  I’ll let you know how it goes.  If you’re in the P-Cola area, check this place out for sure.
