The other day I picked up Myron Mixon’s new book Smokin’ with Myron Mixon. If you don’t know who Myron is, he is the winningest man in the competitive BBQ arena…ever. Seriously…I didn’t just make that up, he really is. Kinda looks like Kenny Rogers to me which makes me laugh a bit, but this guy is legit and knows his stuff. I’ve already read most of the book and can tell you it’s going to be a great book to have in your collection, especially if you’re just starting out with BBQ smoking and looking for some great tips and recipes. What I like about his writing style is that he cuts right to the chase and tells you how it is. He doesn’t mess around with fancy jargon and really doesn’t even get that technical. He simply lays out the foundation for cooking “low and slow” and how to do it right. Grab a copy and let me know what you think…especially if you try out any of his recipes.
