I absolutely LOVE burgers! Who doesn’t? I mean, really, who doesn’t?? With that said, one of the best things you can do is eat a burger for breakfast…or…eat a “breakfast style” burger for dinner….whatever you want to call it… The main thing you need to do is cook up some bacon, fry an egg, then stack that goodness on top of of whatever type of beef (or bison!) you prefer. I like to put a twist on mine and top it all off with a creamy maple mustard sauce. What this means is that this burger is so yummy you’ll be coming back to this breakfast style burger time and time again.
Now, we all have various ways we like to cook burgers (and so do I…), but one of my fav’s is cooking them on a flat top griddle, either stainless steel or cast iron. For this recipe (check out the video below), I used the stainless steel Kettle Q griddle. The Kettle Q is a circular griddle that you can mount on top of your Weber charcoal kettle or ceramic kamado. It resembles a restaurant-style flat top cooking grill that cooks burgers to perfection. Additionally, it makes cooking burger toppings like bacon and onions a cinch.
I’ve got the recipe for the creamy maple mustard sauce below as well as a video that shows how I cooked these burgers from start to finish. Hope you like this recipe and let me know if you have any questions in the comment section below!
